The Characteristic Research Of The Modern Chinese Interjection Parts Of Speech

This article has carried on the multiple perspectives to the characteristic of Chinese interjection parts of speech.About interjection research, there are some achievements. But there are still three problems in these achievements. The first one,about the nature and belonging of the interjection parts of speech,there is no same and clear cognition; the second one is that there is no comprehensive understanding on interjection function; the third one is there is no enough attention and scientific judge on the relationship between interjection and other syntax ingredients (for example discourse marker). These problems leave this article space to think and depth study. By sorting and reflection based on the research achievements of Chinese interjection,collecting and analyzing a large amount of corpus about the interjection, this paper attempting to do some discussion on the above-mentioned problems of the interjection.The full text is divided into six parts.The first part is an introduction. In the introduction we introduce the name、 characteristics and vesting of interjection. And we put forward the purpose and content of this paper.The second part, the traditional division of parts of speech obviously does not apply to interjection. This paper tries to define interjection from the new angle. At the same time, taking interjections which belong to Modern Chinese Dictionary (The fifth edition)for example, making a comprehensive analysis in the voice、definitions and function of interjections. And at same time,demonstrating interjection is a relatively open category. The third part, mainly discuss the conversion between interjection and other related parts of speech, for example,content-wording and interjectionization. Besides,interjection and onomatopoeia has some differences,so can not put them together. But there is still some connection, which is interjection can be used as onomatopoeia.The fourth part, there is also some connection between interjections and discourse marker.Traditional point which put interjection into discourse marker has limitation. By thinking on related theory and analyzing for large corpora, from the textual perspective, a quite part of interjections have the same functions with discourse marker.But some discourse marker(including the unit which is greater than the word) have outstanding emotional function,which is similar with interjection. Thus, starting from the core functionality, this paper recognizes that this part of discourse marker has become interjection. And finally, have a further analysis on "nikanni(你看你)”.The fifth part is contrast. Both Chinese and English have many interjections, and there are some differences and similarities in these two kinds of interjections. The similarities main show speech sound、morphological structure、syntactic position and pragmatic function and so on. The differences main show lexical category tagging、 tone and intonation、the composition of interjection, etc.The last part is conclusion,which mainly point out the weaknesses in this paper.The most valuable of the subject is that:firstly, this paper has more comprehensive analysis of the interjection, including the voice、the semantics and the function,and prove interjection is a relatively open class.Then,analyze the relationship between interjection and discourse marker and get a conclusion that this part of discourse marker has interjectional change. This understanding is a new idea both in the field of interjection research and in the field of discourse marker research.
