The Chinese dragon is a cultural totem which is deeply embedded in the national marrow. The composition of the dragon family is complex and various. There are three important practical function of the head of Chi, that is decorative outfall, load-bearing and balance stylobate, and preventing the stylobate from the platform by rain. At the same time, symbolic signified of the head of Chi is the internal symbol, which including the rank symbol of emperor imperial, praying for the good weather, the concept of geomantic omen which preventing from disaster and retaining fiscal, religious though of patronus. Under the concept, it’s decorative beauty is self-evident, that can accord with the demand of ritual system of feudal society. and contains the beauty of kindness of palace building. Superb stone and excellent skill make the magnificence of palace.In the sixth chapter of this paper, analysis the significance that inherit the head of Chi and the use instance of the head of Chi.And the problem of inheritance and development of the localization iwas thought. Finally, the focus discussed conclusion,certainly the head of Chi wins the value of the performance of traditional Chinese, and hope the study of the subject to subsequent interpretation the head of Chi to bring the value of reference us.
