The Research On The Consciousness Of Self-analysis Of Qu Qiubai’s Prose

This paper discusses the consciousness of self-analysis of Qu Qiubai’s prose, which focuses on the autobiographical of his three works, the early two essays "Record Course of the Hungry Country","Heart Experience of Red Capital" and the posthumous prose "superfluous words" before he sacrificed, observing his prose. The paper starts from analyzing the experience of Qu Qiubai’s prose writing, and trys to interpret the consciousness of self-analysis, highly sensitive sense of identity and sincere interrogation to the soul throughout his prose, then explores the consciousness of self-analysis and its underlying causes in his prose. Firstly, it discusses the background of his prose writing. On grounds of the social and cultural environment around the "May Fourth Movement", the paper explores the relationship between the awakening of individual consciousness and personal characteristics in Qu Qiubai’s Early Prose, highlighting the "non-ivory tower" engaged characteristics of Qu Qiubai’s prose. Secondly, the paper discusses the Buddhist-Taoist consciousness in Qu Qiubai’s prose. The philosophy of "Bodhisattva" in Buddhism and Taoist attitude towards life have an important impact on Qu Qiubai’s view of life, world and values. Thirdly, the paper explores the consciousness of self-analysis in terms of Chinese type of "repentant aristocrats","extra person" as well as the identity between literati and politician. Doing research on the consciousness of self-analysis in Qu Qiubai’s prose, will not only shed light on a deeper understanding of his works, but also make contribution to a comprehensive understanding of the position and value of Qu Qiubai’s prose in the background of "May Fourth Movement" essays as well as the whole history of modern Chinese prose.
