Film as a part of social culture, to focus on the reaction to a certainperiod of national psychology and the change of the social consciousness, so for thenew era of Taiwan’s film, it helps us to grasp the psychological complex forTaiwanese national identity. After1987, the Taiwan film entering the after new era,this period of Taiwanese film shows the characteristics of complex of nationalidentity, this article from the synchronic perspective, to comb the phenomenon tothe complex identity summed up in four aspects: the resolution of Chinese nationalidentity, sense of national identity, Japan elements on the influence of the influenceof national identity, national identity of Taiwan under global vision.
