As an interpretation, class interpretation bears the stamp of academia throughout. Itis an interpretation par excellence of listening and speaking, two formative techniquesof interpreters in general and fresh interpreters in particular. The author participated inthe “AP” class interpretation in Tianyi High School in fall of2012. The fiver chapters,namely description of the task, process of the task, case study, strategies, andconclusion are composed to analyze the interpretation. From the perspective ofinterpretation practice, class interpretation in particular, the author elaborates theobstacles emerged. The first obstacle is the term interpretation, which is described by anumber of illustrations. The second one is the default of information, which is reasonedthereafter. Next follows the third one, unnatural pauses, which is analyzed specifically.Lastly, some unforeseen circumstances are cited.Grounded on the four drawbacks and their corresponding cases, the authorproposes some possible solutions for discussion and reference, aiming to obtainprogress in interpretation practice. With regard to the term interpretation, interpretersshould be fully prepared and expand sights as well. With regard to the default ofinformation, interpreters should enhance their listening ability and reconcile their mood.Concerning the unnatural pauses, interpreters should improve their short-term memoryand note-taking ability. Referring to the impromptu Q&A, interpreters should be morelogical.
