Self-conscious emotion is complex emotions that emerge late and require certaincognitive abilities involved self-awareness and self characterization for their elicitation. Andshame as a kind of the complex emotions, attract the researchers’ attention in recent years.However, the researchers at home and abroad clash a sharp disagreement about the definitionof the shame. In study we defined shame as a negative experience when the behavior ofindividual and social standard inconsistent or real self and ideal self inconsistency at thesocial situation. For a long time, shame are considered as a kind of negative motion, but it canadjust the behavior of the individual, ease social individual relations, especially to theindividual moral development is also play a decisive role. Based on the important role ofshame to the individual development, this study will select3to6years old preschool childrenas the object, and then research of the development of the shame. This research is divided intothree parts:First according to the theoretical derivation and the open questionnaire, we prepare thedevelope of children shame questionnaire rating by teacher. Then we test the reliability andvalidity of the questionnaire.Second, the developmental characteristics of early children’s shame. To explore thedevelopmental characteristics of children’s shame, we used the self-maded questionnaire ofchildren’s shame rating by teacher to investigate the developmental trends of900children3to6years old.Third, the influence of temperament, parental rearing patterns on early children’s shame.The development of children’s shame is influenced by many factors.We main examined theimpact of the temperament and parental rearing patterns on children’s shame.Based on the above discussion and analysis, we generally discussed the developmenttrends and characteristic, the influence on shame. The main conclusions were drawn asfollow:1. The shame of preschool teacher evaluation questionnaire has preferable reliability andvalidity, and the questionnaire can be used as the tool of measurement children’s shame.2. Children’s shame showed a developmental tendency with the different age, the agefrom3to4years old is the critical period of shame in developing. There was no genderdifferences. 3.Temperamental and Parental Rearing Patterns interaction in the development of shame,the temperament as a moderator variable, Parental Rearing Patterns affect shame, as thetemperament and different levels of change.
