The main point of this paper is that modern IT (or ICT) is bringing great changes and effects on the contemporary human life. In order to explain it clearly, the author selects the perspective which is ethical properties of IT to study this issue. At the very beginning, I provide a brief description and analysis of information and IT. And then, go on discussing the nature of IT in detail. Generally speaking, there three viewpoints about this topic, and all these three are appropriate in some extent. But in my opinion, for a more complete description of this problem, maybe a standpoint that compares IT to a definitely new pattern of language should to add up. According to these ideas, the paper pays more attention on fundamental changes that IT brings in the human recording, communicating and organizing information. A profound impact on our living environment affected by these changes which have two main characteristics, one is that digital world is more and more important than physic world for people daily life, and the other is that correlation is more and more significant than causal relationship. People who live in this kind of environment is bound to encounter with a series of prominent paradoxes, for example, body and mind, privacy and publicity, etc. In order to solve these contradictions, this paper tries to give several strategies from two aspects. First, maybe our cognitive conceptions should be reformed. Second, we have to construct a healthy ecological environment of information, just as we need a healthy natural environment.
