Dangshan Si Ping Diao is a new type of Chinese operas, based on the singing art of folk "DangShan HuaGu"(also called huaibei HuaGu). It has a special position in Chinese drama art and is an enchanting flower of Chinese folk art,known as a microcosm of the development of opera in our country. Besides introduction and conclusion, this paper tries to analyse and research Si Ping Diao in Dangshan from these three aspects:its origin, development and flowing deformation; singing style; singing methods and play.The first part:the origin and development of Si Ping Diao in Dangshan. By interviewing the old folk artists in Si Ping Diao, this paper introduces the style, aria and performance of "Dangshan HuaGu", the forerunner of Si Ping Diao, and illustrates the evolution of Dangshan HuaGu and the formation and development of Si Ping Diao.The second part:the aria music of Si Ping Diao in Dangshan. Combining with Dangshan dialect and poems, this paper detailedly introduces singing style and the main mode structure of Si Ping Diao in Dangshan and analyses the band and the accompaniment of Si Ping Diao, from the composition of the band, the way of accompaniment and the main tune.The third part:the singing style and main repertoire of Si Ping Diao in Dangshan. Through the on-the-spot collection, interviewing and the combination of the understanding, this paper preliminary analyses the gas, pronunciation, enunciation in singing, shout a voice, the cavity in Si Ping Diao, and expounds the main repertoire and the singing style of the main representative figures.
