The Magic Flute,as the final opera composed by Mozart,is featured by its arias in the epoch of opera seria.Filled with gorgeous coloratura phrases, the opera requires the opera singers to have high singing skills and artistic expressive force in coloratura soprano. The aria of the Queen of Night,“Der H?lle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen”,is the most famous soprano aria in the opera.Mozart shaped the character of the Queen of Night with virtuosic period and depicted this ambivalent, complicated and dramatic role with difficult coloratura singing techniques. As the soul character of the whole opera, the Queen of Night is offish, ruthless and august, while showing her maternal instinct in details. Her contradiction and dramaticism are attractive and fascinating, promoting the development of the plot. This paper, based on the author’s own experience, analyzes the singing style and sing skills of the aria “Der H?lle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen”.It also proposes some methods to apply the singing skills in performance,in order to help singers vividly express the Queen of Night, the dramatic character created by Mozart.
