This thesis focuses on the Chinese learners in Chile whose native language is Spanish. It studies the situation of their acquisition of the word order in the process of learning Chinese. The article combines the data analysis method and the comparative analysis method. At last, the writer proposed a few suggestions on principles and strategies of word order teaching for these Chinese learners who are native speakers of Spanish.The thesis consists of three parts:the introduction, the main part and the conclusion. The introduction tells the background of the study and teaching of the Chinese word order, the teaching of the Chinese word order and the situation of the research on second language acquisition. The main part includes six chapters from chapter two to seven.In chapter two I introduced the main similarities and differences between Chinese word order and Spanish word order. By comparing the two different words orders, we found that some usage of the Spanish word order is the same with the Chinese word order. But as a language which mainly uses morphological changes to express significance, compared with Chinese, Spanish is very casual on its word order. So it is difficult for the Chilean native learners to study Chinese.In the chapter three, through the analysis of the acquisition of Chinese word order for the Spanish-speaking students in the primary stage of Chinese learning, we could know the order of acquisition of the Chinese word order for the initial stage’s learners. The chapter four used the same method with chapter three to study the order of acquisition of Chinese word order for Spanish-speaking students in the advanced stage. And in the chapter five, by the comparison of the correct rate of the acquisition, we found the similarities and differences of the order of acquisition of the Chinese word order between the students in the primary stage and those in the advanced stage.In the last two chapters, I summed up the characteristics and causes of the situation of the acquisition of the Chinese word order for the students whose native language is Spanish,and put forward some specific teaching advises, hoping it will be helpful to the Chinese teaching in the Spanish speaking countries.
