Reading Is Everywhere

This thesis tries to sum up the effect of reading on book-design by studying the history of thedevelopment and change of reading. Besides, it aims to practice designing the books through theanalysis of the new tendency of reading. This dissertation contains five parts which are listed asfollows.First of all, in this paper, it mainly defines the category of reading and the understanding ofthe book-design. It, as well as, discusses the research questions, background, significance, andthe framework of this article.Secondly, it analyzes the historical reasons of the change of reading in terms of the transitionof books and environment. And it believes that the way of reading and book-design influence eachother. Apart from this, the change of reading is also influenced by the factors of technology,aesthetics, culture, and social environment.Thirdly, according to the analysis of the present circumstances and changes of reading, thispaper comes to the conclusion that with the development of society, the way of reading isdiversified, and the influence of reading on the design of books is gradually strengthened,resulting in book-design is more humanized.Then, it makes a statement of how to humanized design books in respect of humanizationreading and meeting the emotional need.At last, make the final books, based on the humanized design.
