In the first experiment, the participants were fifty-twoundergraduates, twenty-one of who are physics majors. It was to explore the characteristic of thechunck segmentation in different knowledge and experience levels in the form of paper. In order tofind out how the knowledge and experience influenced the chunck segmentation.the secondexperiment has selected two groups participants and they were made to read so as to collect thevisual indicators through eye tracking technology. Based on the first and the second experiment, thethird experiment has selected another two groups participants to read the differentchunck-segmentational paragraphs, To explore whether the chunck segmentation influenced thereading performance. The final results found that:(1) Knowledge and experience level had a main effect on chuncksegmentation, the more Knowledge and experience was mastered, the bigger the chuncks were.(2)Knowledge and experience level had influenced the reading performance, the more Knowledge andexperience was mastered, the faster they read.(3) the average saccade distance of reading questionsis much shorter than that of reading content.(4) chunck segmentation is more conducive to thepromotion of reading performance.(5) There are still individual differences in how chuncksegmentation influenced the reading performance.
