Chaling School is an significant school between “Secretariat Style” and “First Seven”who plays an important role in the history of Chinese literature. literature and life bothbecome a direction that influences the whole school’s literati. Chaling School has strongfusion power that contains many literati’s literary concept and literary creations from all overthe country. Among them, literati from Wu area not only has a higher number but also playsmore important role in the school. They join Chaling School with their home literaturecharacteristic, then combine with the school’s literary orientation, and become a strengthwhich could not be replaced.The paper take the literati who come from Wu area in the Ming dynasty as the researchobject, and trying to summarize something in common which belong to the area, the schooland the era from their literary creations. We can divide the paper into four chapters. The firstchapter is an overview on Chaling School and the cultural of Wu area. Firstly, the paperdiscusses two controversial issues about Chaling school: its existence and its duration time.Secondly, the paper introduces the official career, life attitude, literary theory and literaryorientation of Li Dongyang. Lastly, the paper recommends the regional overview and culturalcharacteristics of the Wu area. The second chapter is the introduction of Chaling Schoolmembers that from Wu area. The introduction bases on first-hand materials from variouskinds of ancient literatures which is attempts to reveal the real figure of the literati. The thirdchapter is the analysis on several literati like Wukuan, Shaobao etc. The fourth chapter is asummary of the literati’s general orientation towards literary creation and life attitude.
