The "ecological thinking mode" result from the global ecological crisis, this way of thinking tend to pursuit of harmonious between human and nature. The kind of thinking mode gives an rule to solve the relationship between human、nature and society. The materialist dialectics is a knowledge which aims at researching nature、society and thinking. This paper is an analysis of ecological thinking in the materialist dialectics horizon.The paper start from the theoretical origins of ecological thinking and analysis of the source of the theory of ecological thinking that is:"Heaven" thinking from ancient China, the ecological concept of Marx and Western Ecological Marxism. The definition of ecological thinking based on this three level which called an way to solve the relationship between human and nature with an philosophy dimension. Then the paper exposes the three characteristics of ecological thinking:integrality、connection and perspectiveness. The second part discusses the materialist dialectics about ecological thinking. Firstly, from the origin aspect, the ecological thinking arose from ecology and dialectical thinking. Secondly, from the characteristic field, the ecological thinking feature contains the rule of materialist dialectics. Thirdly, from the definition side, the ecological thinking which definite at the overall unity, rich diversity, open recycle and the finite and infinite unity, etc all refer to the materialist dialectics. At last, the paper analyzes the contemporary value of ecological thinking that is:give support to the scientific concept of development, give the theoretical basis for transform social way of thinking, provide a theoretical basis for the strategy of sustainable development, provide methodological guidance for the construction of "two types" of social.
