With the rapid development of society and rough competition of market,the higher vocational education is playing more and more important role in trainingstudents serving for production, management, construction. Meanwhile, businessEnglish teaching job is also facing stern challenge for helping educators improving theirknowledge and practical skills. The Task-driven teaching method is one task designedcarefully by the teacher, who lets the students accept the task and complete the task atthe same time, help the students to master the knowledge, the skill and the method, andimprove their own exploration spirit and the practical ability by the Theory ofConstructivism. The article aims at introducing the process of application ofTask-driven teaching method in business English course, and helping higher vocationalEnglish teachers to apply it into the teaching jobs and improving our teaching quality.In recent years, foreign language reform has achieved so much achievement, butbusiness English teaching is still facing many problems, such as choosing teachingmaterial, teaching methods, and practical skills teaching and so. The essay discuses thecurrent condition of the application about task-driven teaching method in businessEnglish teaching, how to apply it in teaching process, the suggestions and strategies ofthis method used in business English teaching.The whole thesis is made of four parts.Part one is the preface which includes the studying background, the analysis of thesituation, the significance, the brief introduction of domestic and international relatedtheories and research, methods as well as contents.Part two is about the related notions of the research. It will be discussed from thedefinition of the task-driven teaching method, the definition business English teachingand the characteristics of the higher vocational business English teaching. Through the thinking of practical English teaching experience and the related information fromcurrent literature about higher vocational business English teaching conditions, thewriter aims at encouraging more and more teachers have a new understanding about theapplication of task-driven teaching method and the course of business English, andgradually take this method into our teaching jobs, and improve the teaching quality.Part three is the analysis of the problems in the higher vocational business Englishteaching, which are the bad teaching environment, a big class with a large number ofstudents, the lack of double-quality teachers lead to the ineffectiveness using oftask-driven teaching method in business English teaching.Part four is the key part in the whole essay which introduces how to take thetask-driven teaching method in teaching process and discuses the suggestions andstrategies on the higher vocational business English teaching. Establishing goodteaching environment, the effectiveness of designing Task-driven teaching method andtraining double-quality teachers would help teachers popularize the task-driven teachingmethod, which would help improve the teaching quality of business English course.
