The race of Baoan is one of the China’s ethnic minorities with a population of about16000. More than90%of the population live in Jishishan Baoan Dongxiang and Sala Autonomous County of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu province, especially in "three villages of Baoan"(Dadun. Meipo. Ganhetan) in Dahejia town. The Baoan language is the national language of Baoan. But nowadays, the race of Baoan turns to use Chinese gradually because of the strong impact of Chinese. At the same time, the Baoan language is endangered. In the town of Dahejia, the Han nationality and the ethnic minorities live together and have kept a close contact with each other. The Chinese Dialect and the Baoan. Dongxiang. Sala languages are in a relationship of language contact. The Chinese Dialect used by the race of Baoan has case marks to indicate the case. Firstly, this paper has described the case in the Chinese Dialect used by the race of Baoan. According to the survey, the local Chinese Dialect has a total of5kinds of the case. Each kind of the case has its own marks. There are differences in using case marks among generations. Mixed expressions have appeared in the local Chinese Dialect influenced by mandarin Chinese. Then, this paper has discussed the reasons of the existence of case marks. In the narrow sense, there is not any case or case marks in Chinese. Case marks in the Chinese Dialect spoken by the race of Baoan are generated in the process of language contact between the Chinese Dialect and the Altai family of languages used by the local ethnic minorities and they are not produced by the Chinese itself, which can be proved from both external social and historical conditions and the language itself. As for language itself, this paper has compared case marks in the Chinese Dialect of Linxia. Tangwang. Xining and Xunhua with that of Baoan. Dongxiang. Tu. Sala and west Yugu languages related, in order to find the original reasons about the emergence of case marks in the Chinese Dialects in Gansu and Qinghai minority areas. Case marks may be produced by the language borrowing from the Altai family of languages, or by language residuals of the Altai family of languages when ethnic minorities turn to use the Chinese Dialect and abandon their mother tongue and may be by both. Whatever method they are produced by, case marks must be adjusted to the phonetic vocabulary and grammar systems of the Chinese itself. Therefore, these case marks have undergone the process of localization. The thesis has shown specific conditions of the language conversion in the race of Baoan through the method of questionnaire, interview etc. It has also analyzed the endangered language——the Baoan language and has given some suggestions.
