The Relationship Among Personality Traits,Coping Styles And Mental Health Of Foreign Enterprise Staffs

To study the relationship among personality traits, coping styles and mental health of foreign enterprise staffs. All179staffs who works in foreign owned companies were examined with Symptom check list90(SLC-90), NEO Five factor Inventory and Coping styles Questionnaire. Results of the3tests were statistically analyzed and the correlation between SCL-90, Big five and Coping styles were analyzed. Results showed:the foreign staffs had good mental health; scores of compulsive were higher. Facing stress, foreign enterprise staffs could choose mature coping methods; as for personality traits they had high scores for conscientiousness and openness and lower scores for neuroticism. Foreign enterprise staffs mental health level had significant difference on sex, age, years of work and annual income. Neuroticism personality and immature coping methods would lead a low mental health level, with openness, extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness personality traits and mature coping methods would lead a high mental health level.
