Research On The Profession Oriented Innovation Of Harbin Commercial University English Teaching

With the deepening of China’s economic reform and the globalization ofmarketing economy, the demand for English language skills is increasingdramatically both in its width and depth.The research on college English language teaching practice can promote thetheoretical study of college language teaching to some extent. With thecombination of theory and practice, the findings and results of the theoretical studycan be applied into teaching practice, which will in turn modify the conclusion oftheoretical studies constantly. Our college English language teaching will ultimatelybenefit in many respects from this process, which will consequently contribute toestablish scientific and feasible college English language teaching system.Based on the investigation of the present employment situation of collegeundergraduates, this paper analyses the requirements for English languageproficiency and skills of present job markets, against the research on current collegeenglish language teaching, then concluded that our college English teaching isdisconnected with the requirements of english talents and the work place Englishlanguage application. By means of literature summarizing, case study andquestionnaire survey, this paper tries to explore the underlying reasons for thedisconnection between college teaching and requirements of the market, andproposes the innovative method of college English language teaching.The conclusion of this paper is summarized as follows:1. In the English teaching reform, teaching should be based on individualizedteaching, maximizing the effect of the play, and allowing all students to gainconsiderable development.2. The problems mainly consist in the teachers’ concept of teaching reform,students’ performance and the teaching facilities.3. University English teaching reform under the profession orientation is on thebasis of the construction of College English curriculum system, theprofession-oriented teaching mode to strengthen students’ employment and thestrengthening of the construction of teachers’ team.
