Shen Zhou is one of the representative figures of the Wu Culture in MingDynasty, His poetry, article, book, painting are very powerful. Shen Zhou’s paintingplay a decisive role in the Ming Dynasty, is the fathers of Wu literati paintings. Butbecause of its civilian identity and painter position limit, the calligraphy has littleeffect. Although Shen Zhou’s calligraphy as his achievements influence, but in thehistory of calligraphy also occupy a certain position. His calligraphy is the firstdedicated to learning the song, he is Wu calligraphers predecessors. The currentacademic research achievements, for his painting poetry is very rich, but has alwaysbeen concerned about his calligraphy is very small. Based on the comprehensivestudy of the calligraphy of Shen Zhou data, based on the literature, combined withtheir famous works, the Shen Zhou calligraphy research more comprehensive, moreobjectively evaluate the status of Shen Zhou in Wumen calligraphy and promote thedevelopment.The main text is divided into five parts. The first part is the textual research onShen Zhou’s life and friends. The second part is exploring Shen Zhou’s ideas ofcalligraphy through the collation of Shen Zhou’s poetry and painting postscript. Thethird part mainly from the style of calligraphy, calligraphy of painting inscription andcalligraphy research three angles in-depth analysis of Shen Zhou’s Calligraphy,Through the analysis of the calligraphy and painting of Shen Zhou inscription forstaging the the calligraphy style, delve into the cause of the calligraphy style change,to further explore the relationship between his calligraphy and painting,discrimination true and false part of their calligraphy works. The fourth part is theresearch on the existing draft manuscript "Shi Tiangao"," Shi Tiangao " and the draftof the mid Ming Dynasty daily words. The fifth part is the status and influence ofShen Zhou’s calligraphy history. The appendix with the basic situation existing inShen Zhou’s calligraphy works, contribute to the in-depth study of Shen Zhou’s calligraphy.
