In the long history of Chinese folk culture, the concept of Contentment and satisfaction and other simple aspirations always exist in Chinese people’s mind. Chinese people have highly psychological identity to the word "FU". The word "Fu" has become a high-level summarization of all the Chinese people’s good wishes. At the same time, writing "Fu" in calligraphy form for "blessing" is naturally become the most common traditional Chinese folk culture. Under the joint action of Folk culture and calligraphy art, folk Calligraphy not only showing the basic features of its own but also reflecting its distinction from unique characteristics of the art of calligraphy. Such distinctions are material properties, process, decorative, practical, and other special attributes. Take the word "Fu" for instance; it is entrusted with wisdom, dynamic and ingenious by the wisdom Chinese people. We can see different books body, shapes, and forms of calligraphy "Fu" in all generations towards various cultural geography and various materials on the performance.This paper neither focus on the areas of research and demonstration in the performance of folk culture in philology, nor the artistic expressions of folklore in the category, although these two area will involve in the research, the fundamental of this paper is the art of calligraphy. By searching and illustrating the word Fu’s Images and historical data, this paper discovers the value and significance of calligraphy, so as to indicates the calligraphy in a better method and reveal the great vitality of calligraphy in the long history of Chinese traditional culture.
