With the process of reforming and opening up, the literary and art circles embraced a new sping and entered a new period of history.The creation of various types of literary genres got recovery,development and prosperity.Especially the prose,which greeted with its another prosperity after "May Fourth",and developed to a far-reaching "prose fever" phenomenon in the last century90’s, that continues to today.What’s more,the participation of non-professional writers made the prose in the new era show an abnormal pluralistic outlook,and the so-called"painter prose"is particularly noteworthy. Wu Guanzhong, Huang Miaozi,Huang Yongyu,even famous painters,with free reative attitude and smart artistic exploration, offer new possibilities and a new look for the writing in prose.This paper,which centeres above three painters and places the painter prose in its historical and cultural background,as well as the great development in prose in the new period,will discuss the features of painter prose in artistic exploration and writing spirit from the author’s prose identities.By this method,I try to find the positive meaning of painter prose for the whole prose writing since the new period.The thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter describes the overview of painter prose,which outlines the rheology and heritage and describes the recovery and prosperity since the new period of Chinese painter prose.On this basis,the paper will generalize the features of painter prose in artistic exploration and writing spirit.The second, third and fourth chapters respectively study the works of Wu Guanzhong, Huang Yongyu and Huang Miaozi,who all formed a unconventional style of painting for different life experiences and artistic roads,which furtherly affected their stylistic innovations, language art, overall style and ideological heritage in prose.Microscopic differences between them reflect the richness of painter prose, while highlighting its overall characteristics.The second chapter studies Wu Guanzhong’s prose in the new period. Wu received professional academic education but no academic conservatism and squareness,and in drawing and text emerged East meets West style bold and innovative.The third chapter centers on Huang Yongyu.As a "guest" in literary,Huang Yongyu’s achievements and influence is beyond reproach.The nostalgia obsession and also "positive" are "evil" character make him seem maverick in the art world and the literary world.The fourth chapter centers on Huang Miaozi.He was famous as a cartoonist in the first,and produced "Miaozi Calligraph"that is through ancient and modern in the new period,which made his prose rich and expansive.
