He Jingming Ci-fu Study

Most of He Jingming Ci-Fu works focus on the satire malpractices,farewell presentation, speech and lyric, expressions of emotionsthrough the description of concrete objects from the perspective ofideological content, which are full of emotions deriving from thebottom of the author’s heart. He Jingming’s Shishi Fu showssharp-pointed satire, while Yongwu Fu is elegant and beautiful;Chouzeng Fu is full of deep and mild emotion, while Shuhuai Fu isgentle and sincere. The overall style of He Jingming’s Ci-Fu works ischaracterized by purify and freshness, as well as elegance. His Ci-Fuworks focus on speaking bluntly to attack against currentmalpractice, denouncing gloominess boldly, exposing that enunchsand courtiers wreck the country and bring ruin to the people, as wellas criticizing the supreme ruler of imperial power, which indicatingthat his works are full of profound connotation and foresight and thecriticism of reality is resolute. Furthermore, as a integrity literati withhumanitarian concern, he takes the concern of people’s livelihoodand the sympathies with people’s sufferings as the important themeof his Ci-Fu creation, which reflects that the compassion of atraditional literati with social conscience. Therefore, denouncing current malpractice and concerning with people’s livelihood can beregarded as the most powerful, valuable and important theme withshining points.This thesis consists of five chapters and aims to grasp theconnotation and value position of He Jingming’s Ci-Fu works.Chapter one is a general introduction of the life and thoughts ofHe Jingming, which includes two parts. The first part is asummarization of his life experience. The main ideas influencing hiscreations are presented are in the second part.Chapter two presents the framework of He Jingming’s Ci-Futheory which consists of four parts.“The restoration thoughts”, theinnovation of "Homes raft landed", the erudition of "More than itsstories", as well as the style of “the ring arrived” are introducedrespectively.Chapter three shows the ideological contents of He JingmingCi-Fu works which is the main body part of this thesis. He JingmingCi-Fu can be categorized into Shishi Fu, Shuhuai Fu, Yongwu Fu, andChouzeng Fu which are analyzed through specific works.Chapter four can be considered as another body part of this thesis,in which the author sums up the artistic features of He Jingming Ci-Fufrom the perspectives of the creation attitude, style and rhetoric aswell as the overall style.Chapter five shows the comparison between He Jingming Ci-Fuand Li Mengyang Ci-Fu which can be analyzed from the perspectivesof learning approaches, creative practice and art style.
