The Study Of Logistic Work In Taiyue Revolutionary Base During The Period Of The War Of Liberation

In the period of war of liberation, Taiyue revolutionary area is thebridge connecting the North China and Northwest China, meanwhilethe heavily attacked areas by the KMT troops, thus a significantstrategic spot and starting point in the process of liberating ShanxiProvince which plays a essential part in smashing the attack by KMT,guarding Yanan which was the capital of CPC, entering the Henan,Shanxi and Hubei Provinces, eventually pursing the leadership for themainland. Therefore, Taiyue revolutionary base had become anadvantageous strategic location. Under the leadership of CPC and thelocal administrative group, people in Taiyue District had contributedenormously in defeating the attack from KMT troops and liberatingthe Shanxi Province through their energetic and supportive services in the war time. Consequently, the research about the war servicesduring the war of liberation in Taiyue revolutionary base possessescertain academic value and the author makes a preliminary study onthis field.War logistics, the synonym of obligatory service, is a fixed armyterm which has developed with the war. It is a general name for thevarious services provided by rear area people and an indispensiblecondition guarding the win of the domestic side. During the war ofliberation, under the leadership of CPC and the local administrativegroup, the people of Taiyue District launched a wider range oflogistics services including the shift-exchanging militia, stretcherscarried by migrant workers, voluntary farming, women services,resorting services and transporting services etc which guaranteedthe victory of the war of liberation. All these conducts rich theconception of the whole nation and accumulate a great deal ofvaluable historical experience. This dissertation studies the warlogistics of Taiyue district during war of liberation from five aspects.The first chapter is the introduction, in which the author explainsbriefly about the significance, the present situation of this study,sources of historical data, methods. In chapter2, the authorintroduces process of the Taiyue revolutionary base and enters thecategory of war logistics naturally. In chapter3, the author makes a detailed illustration about the following five fields: the regulations,the undertakers, main task, supplies, statistics collected whichenable the readers to come to an objective overall cognition about thelogistics of Taiyue revolutionary base during the war of liberation.The4th chapter summaries the accomplishment of logistics servicesthrough illustrating the special care and compensation toward thelogistic workers in several major battles. In the5thchapter, the authorconcludes features of the logistics work in Taiyue revolutionary baseand evaluates the shortcomings. In the conclusion section, the authormakes a overall brief summary about the whole study.After preliminary analyzing and discussing, the author comes tothe following conclusions the administrative group is in the guidingposition in the logistic work in Taiyue, while the working people arethe main force. From the vertical angle, the logistic work is anevolving developing and maturing dynamic process; and from thehorizontal perspective, the logistic work plays a decisive role forguarding the victories of each battle and even the war of liberation.
