The Study On Allusion Word Of Epitaph In Tang Dynasty

Chinese literates had been fond of using the literary quotations in their poetry writings through the ages, therefore, the usage of allusions had been formed into a kind of favorable theories. The allusion words are the important component of Chinese vocabulary. The epitaph of Tang Dynasty has rich corpus. The article takes the epitaph of Tang Dynasty in The Continued Collection of the Epitaph in Tang Dynasty as the research object, which written by Mr Zhou Shaoliang and Mr Zhao Chao. We also use The Collection of the Epitaph in Tang Dynasty and some other related literature in the epitaph of Tang Dynasty. We hope to study the allusion word of the epitaph in Tang Dynasty systematically and reflect the characteristics during this period.The article is divided into six parts.The introduction mainly defines the allusion word and introduces the research status and value on allusion word. Then the introduction also introduces the sources of papers, ideas and methods.The second part mainly narrates the formation of allusion word of the epitaph in Tang Dynasty. The forming elements include allusion source, meaning and allusion surface. This part also introduces several common methods about the formation mode. The formation rules are divided into encyclopedia and language code.The third part mainly narrates the feature words in the epitaph, The character description and the etiquette and custom are the two aspects. The allusion word is divided into the officials and the recluse in the part of the character description. The etiquette and custom is divided into four aspects. They are marriage, funeral, grave, and death.The fourth part mainly researches the relationship between allusion word of the epitaph in Tang Dynasty and the writing of large dictionaries. We use the collected words to make up the shortfall of the Great Chinese Dictionary on the entries, meanings and examples.The fifth part mainly researches the relationship between allusion word of the epitaph in Tang Dynasty and the emendation of the epitaph. We use the collected words to proofread the document.The conclusion part mainly summarizes the overall characteristics of allusion word of Epitaph in Tang Dynasty.
