Intergroup prejudice is individual be fond of the group which he belongs toobviously, however, dislike or disparage the group which he doesn’t belongs to. Withnew generation peasant-workers from the city of Tongliao, Inner Mongolia asexperimental research participants, using2×3two factors random experimental designand creat fast friendship procedure,distribute the participants into cross-group contactgroup and in-group contact group,every group contact different times,then observeand study how different times of contacting influences new generationpeasant-workers’ prejudice toward citizen. Conclusions as follow: firstly, newgeneration peasant-worker s’ prejudice toward citizen are all reduced in varyingdegrees both after the new generation peasant-workers participating in cross-groupcontact group and in-group contact group; secondly, in comparison with the context ofin-group contact group, the role effects of reducing new generation peasant-workers’prejudice toward citizen by cross-group contact group is better than that by in-groupcontact group;The role effects of reducing new generation peasant-workers’ prejudicetoward citizen by cross-group contact are depended on the different times ofcontacting.
