First, Shi tuo turn over central china which is as the native land of "Native consciousness", Beijing which is as post house of "cultural enlightenment consciousness", and Shanghai which is as catalytic place of "suffering consciousness". He formed double state of mind in the course of these space displacement, which is the "small town consciousness". Next, the cultural meanings behind "small town consciousness", which plays an important role on completing the cultural metaphor of city pace from the perspective of "spatial turn".In the second chapter, the cultural metaphor of city pace behind the town landscape.
