A Study Of Female Space In Chinese Small Town Movies(1990-2019)

Domestic small town movies are an important window to pay attention to the living space of women in small towns in China.Since the 1990 s,domestic small town movies have reproduced the collapse,reconstruction,departure and return of small towns in China with a strong realism style.Through the observation of these small town films which integrate documentary and authenticity,we can make a detailed description and judgment of the living space,spiritual world and the meaning interaction with the small town society of the small town women in the films,which is also helpful for the society to give human care and humanistic consideration to the small town women in real life.This paper selects the domestic small town films from 1990 to 2019 as the research sample,and takes the female characters in the films as the research object,combining with the space theory and the relevant theories of gender and space,and with the help of the knowledge of film science,sociology and other disciplines,deeply analyzes the spatial position of the female characters in the small town films in the family and society,as well as their social norms,ethics and ethics The self spiritual breakthrough and the expression of independent consciousness under the shackles of,and combined with the changes of the times to explore the significance of interaction with the small town society.Finally,it summarizes the present situation of the female space in the current domestic small town films,and looks forward to the future of the female space in the small town films.Women's living space in small towns is being suppressed to seek a breakthrough: in the family,they are referred to as kitchens and fish by images,in the society,they are regarded as male appendages by images,and in the self constructed individual space,they express their emotions by body and dance;in their spiritual space,they are seeking freedom in bondage:under the gaze of male power,they are striving to break through,living principle Want to be suppressed by reality;new ideas collide with traditional ideas.At present,women's space in small town films presents the status quo of uneven spatial and temporal distribution and less women's films.Aiming at this problem,the paper puts forward suggestions to construct the spatial memory of women in small town in South China,expand the temporal and spatial sequence of images,and enhance the image cultivation of women's spiritual space.
