Study On The Youth Sub-culture From The "after80s" Writing

With young writers borne in the1980s such as Han Han, Guo Jingming, Zhang Yueran, Li Shasha as the representative creative subject, with the troublesome youth as the main narrative object, with youth and campus life as the theme, with the blue and indifferent mood as the emotional tone, with the carnival creation mode as the writing style,"After80s" writing is not only a typical youth literature writing phenomenon, but also a sub-culture phenomenon of youth in the new age. The "After80s" writers witnessed the great changes of behaviors and values during the social economic and cultural transformation period. Their literary works reflect the different aspects of the contradictions existing in both the social structure and social culture, It likes the mirror of the society, looking through it,we can have a deep and better understanding of our contemporary society.This paper aims at taking the theory of youth sub-culture of Birmingham School as the breakthrough point, using literature research and culture studies together, through the depth interpretation of "After80s" creative group and literary works, to find out the characteristics of rebellion, marginal and carnival of "After80s" writing as a youth sub-culture, and through the exploring from both psychological and systematic sides can help us find out the real reasons attribute to the "After80s" writing youth sub-culture phenomenon.The introduction part of this paper has pointed out our country’s weakness in theoretical study of our country youth sub-culture through the Chinese and foreign culture comparison, and combs the recent researches about the "After80s" writing sub-cultural phenomenon; the first chapter sketches the basic framework of the Birmingham School’s youth sub-culture theory, as theory resources and research basis of the "After80s" writing sub-culture. The second chapter focus on both the edge characters and the values, emotional tone, spiritual direction in "After80s" literature works,and the "After80s" writer’s creation psychology, creative mode to dig out the feature of rebellion, marginal and carnival of "After80s" writing. The third chapter from multiple dimension to explore the internal reason and the external cause of "After80s" writing youth sub-culture phenomenon, for example, the special psychology of adolescence as loneliness and self-centered characteristic, and the closely related educational system and cultural system of the "After80s" writers. In the last part of the paper makes an overall evaluation of the "After80s" writing, and summarizes its literary value and social significance.
