“The six principles of Xiehe” is the aesthetic theory of Chinese traditional painting. In thehistory of the development of Chinese jewelry in the Ming Dynasty,gold and silver jewelryhas reached the peak of perfection. And the structure and morphology in integrity pair ofwomen’s head-ornaments in Ming dynasty, for painting description and patterns turn tojewelry style. From angle of the principles to discover the beauty of artistic conception, color,shape overall makeup wearing etc. in women’s head-ornaments, and find the relationshipbetween them in the process of research. The research provided more scientific method andmore principle to modern jewelry art, ultimately to provide services for the modern jewelrydesign.“The six principles of Xiehe” as a theorem of painting, to some extent, is the aestheticlaw of a scientific and wisdom. The article focuses on the dialectical relationship between“The six principles of Xiehe” and the Ming dynasty women’s head-ornaments, from hairpinornaments location, description, complex shapes, colors of gems, the power of structure andit’s eventually discussed formed integral with spirit and vivid aesthetic.This thesis mainly expounded six parts, first of all, the first chapter mainly introduces ofthe writing background, research purpose and significance of the discussion and analysis,through this perspective of “The six principles of Xiehe” for head hairpin artistic details. Thesecond chapter expatiate the content, rules and the meaning of “The six principles”, it has alsocollate and summarize the aesthetics principles of its content, and it’s focus analysis thebeauty of artistic conception in the law. The third chapter is the statement of the Ming dynastywomen’s head-ornaments decoration method, in this historical period, the etiquette cultureaesthetic need for women’s head-ornaments, special technology and head formation whichemerge in this generation. The fourth chapter begins to discuss about “The six principles”reflect on women’s head-ornaments in appearance,“the use of material”,“vigorous ofmodeling”,“description” and the insert location of hairpins, moreover analysis the color ofgemstone the hairpins, finally the decoration patterns in hairpins which transfer and copy fromthe traditional painting. The fifth chapter is the key of the article. It’s expounded in wearingeffects of women’s headdress with charming and vivid artistic conception, and analyzed andexplained the generating process of “Odor” and “Rhyme”. And it’s discussed the conception of artistic in the artistic creation of importance and forms of display. At the same time, themodern jewelry design extract in the specific application of the “The six principles”. The sixthchapter of the summary of the design methods and research experience is the concreteapplication in the fulfillment and personal works exhibition and design methods are described.It’s the embodiment of the Ming dynasty women’s head decoration theme reference andartistic conception in modern jewelry design, and designs a series of works and makes it intosome real jewelry.
