In this study, by using eye-movement techniques, it is discussed the pop-out effect of different individuals when watching various emotional stimuli under backgrounds of different complexity under different emotion. By analyzing the data of eye movements, it indicates the influence of emotional state, the complexity of the scene and emotional stimulation to pop-out effect, and the interaction between these three factors in terms of emotional pop-out effect. The experiment was conducted by a2*2*2three factor mixed experimental design, which include subject emotional state (positive, negative) as between-subject design, the complexity of the scene (simple, complex) and emotional stimulation type (positive, negative) as within-subject design. According to the titer score of the emotional grid scale which came from the emotional evocation of40subjects, the subjects were divided into groups of positive emotions and negative emotions. The material of the experiment are4pieces of self-made black and white pictures and the stimuli are the emotional stimuli from IAPS.The result showed that subject emotional state, the complexity of the scene and emotional stimulation type had interaction on some of the eye-movement index and the emotional pop-out effect has some difference when individuals of different emotion stimulated by different types of emotional stimuli on various scenario.Under the conditions of this study, the following conclusions:1, Negative emotional attentional bias mainly in the later stages of scene watching, the advantage of negative stimuli shows in attention remaining mainly, when compared to positive emotional stimuli.2, The pop-out effect of emotional stimuli, under any conditions, are more significant in a simple scene scenes rather than the complex one, it can also be considered that more interference stimulus and higher cognitive load would inhibits the pop-out effect.3, There’s no difference in the index of pop-out effect for individuals in distinct emotional states, the difference lies in the different types of emotional stimuli the individuals in diverse emotional states tend to have.4, in the condition of low cognitive load, the emotional stimuli is more easy to be processed when same with the individual’s, under high cognitive load conditions, the emotional stimuli is more easy to be processed when different from the individual’s.The result of this study provide much more evidence and ideas for individual mood and the theory of emotional stimulation type in the area of psychology. It discussed the effect of emotional state and cognition load on attention bias, and then it proved the existence of attention bias while investigating the condition of emotional reversal effect. Thus, it provide a basis for scientific research about the effect on attention caused by emotion and cognition load in real scenes.
