The Intimate Persons

Psychologists are very interested in this topic of intimacy difference research in interpersonal network. The ego is personal psychological the center of the universe. Intimacy is an important indicator of psychological distance measured self and others. On the basis of predecessors’ used Event-related Potential technology explored close information perception and processing of others in Study.The research has two experiments, in the first experiments, we adopted three-stimulus oddball paradigm. The standard stimuli was the’‘红绿蓝”, the object stimuli was the’‘的地得”,and the three types of name stimulus as the distraction stimuli. The name of participants as self stimuli, the most intimate person’s name as intimacy stimuli, and the Tang dynasty poet’‘白居易”as the familiar stimuli. The task of the participants was to observe the stimuli carefully and button for only’‘的地得”.The result revealed that self and the most intimate person information compared to other incentives induced the larger amplitude on the N2; On P3amplitude, self and the most intimate name stimulus than the stimulus of familiar name induced the larger P3amplitude.In study2, we also used with a standard oddball paradigm of three kinds of stimulation. It was different from experiment1that using Inclusion of Other in the Self Scale (IOS) evaluated the degree of subjects’intimate network. Choosing three kinds of typical intimate name stimulation, respectively were the closest name stimulus, medium close name stimulus, low intimate names stimulus. The tasks of participants were also the same with the experiment1. On the results of the experiment2was that the most intimate stimulus induced greater N2amplitude than other stimulus. At the same time, we also found women had larger N2amplitude than men; On P3, the most intimate name stimulus produced the larger P3amplitude than any other stimulation. Individual self stimulation on P3latency period was longer than the other two types of stimulation.According to the experiment1and experiment2, we could concluded that:(1) There is a intimate person reference effect in perceptual processing, compared others ordinary people stimulus, close relationship with self stimulus obtained better processing.(2) In the perceptual processing, the individual self-reference effect is superior to general intimate others reference effect. Participates processing information about individual self is better than processing general close information, but there isn’t significant difference to the most intimate person information.(3) Gradient differences exist in intimacy person-reference effect, the high intimate information processing is better than that of low intimate information processing.(4)There is gender difference of intimate person reference effect, Women are more sensitive to high intimate information relative to the low close information.
