Spatial form in book cover design is an important condition to guide visual process, book designers with unique visual language, visual illusion to reflect the three-dimensional space in two-dimensional space. While the "negative space", as a way of space, in the books format design, it has the unique artistic value, clever use of "negative space", can create a rich deep meaning of visual language, pay attention to and make good use of negative space layout design, is to design art show opportunity.Through the application research on the "negative space" in the format design special visual phenomenon, explore books format design "negative space" display mode, thereby bringing out in2D space, visual illusion phenomenon thinking consciousness.
