This is a translation report of The Natural City: Re-envisioning the BuiltEnvironment written by Ingrid Leman Stefanovic and Stephen Bede Scharper, fromwhich I chose Chapter11Ecofeminist “Cityzenry” as the source text. In this chapter,the author argues from an ecofeminist perspective that close relations must existamong citizen and city dweller, nature and civilization, urban ecosystem and naturalecosystem, participatory policy and eco-city planning. She emphasizes thatecological literacy and participatory policy plays an important role in achievingsustainable eco-city. The main content of this report is divided into four parts:1)Project component, consisting of the background of the project, objectives of theproject, significance of the project.2) The source text, consisting of the introductionof the ST author, the general information of the ST, the main contents of ST, theevaluation of the stylistic, grammatical and lexical features of the ST.3) Translationdifficulties and methodologies, including translation difficulties, translationpreparations, translation methodologies, and some examples that could explain thetranslation methods used in the translation process.4) Conclusion, including theexperience and lessons learned from the translation project and the prospects for thefuture.
