Written by Ingrid Leman Stefanovic, this thesis is a part of The Natural City:Re-envisioning the Built Environment, a thesis collection edited by Professor Ingrid Leman Stefanovic and Stephen Bede Scharper. It mainly introduces the differences between nature and city, the vision of urban ecological city as well as the general concept of the natural city,which expresses the author’s yearning for the natural city and shows his confidence in its construction. In modern society, the urban construction is confronted with great pressure and challenge. This translation project provides a new perspective for people to understand the relationship between urban city and natural environment as well as how to implement the sustainable urbanization.This report consists of four parts.
