| Historical military geography is the study ot the relationship between military activities and geographical environment in the history of Science. It is a branch of the historical humane geography. Study military geography of history period, Explory the effect and influence of geographical factors in military operation,Not only can deepen the understanding of ancient warfare, but also have important reference significance for today’s national defense construction. For the Song Mongolian war in Sichuan area, academia set off the boom in Twentieth Century80,90time, published some monographs or papers, but most of them are discussed from the point of view for war or military, few scholars study from the perspective of historical military geography. The natural geographical environment of Sichuan of Song Mongolian war, the characteristics of time and space distribution characteristics of Sichuan anti-Mongolian mountain city, the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of Sichuan wars was rarely or seldom involved.For the reason,I based on"preliminary study of Sichuan military geography during the Song Mongolian war", on the basis of previous results, I use the methods and perspective of historical military geography, the former not involved or not discussed was not content were studied and supplement. In a word, supplement formmor previous is this paper’s purpose.Song Mongolian war lasted for half a century, the time of long, large, broad, the fierce war battlefield, is rare in the history of China unification war. Sichuan area is one of the main battlefield of Song Mongolian war, persistent Mongolian (yuan) for52years ago. Sichuan played a decisive role in the war of Mongolia destroyed Song Dynasty. The natural geographical environment of Sichuan has a great effect on the Song Mongolian war and and delayed the Mongolia occupation of Sichuan. The mountain citys of Sichuan were the military to make full use of favorable results, the mountain city looking down from a height and built close to the mountains.The mountain citys were most important condition of lasting resistance to Mongolia. Sichuan hot summer climate is difficult to adapt to the Mongols. Mongolia soldiers feel uncomfortable of Sichuan’s hot and humid climate. The Mongolian army horse, arrows and other equipments also influenced by climate of Sichuan.The Yangtze River in Sichuan section is broad and coastal hills steep cliffs. The Mongolian army want to across the Yangtze River is very difficult. The first chapter of this paper discusses the influence of the natural geographical environment of war.The second chapter reviews the mountain citys of Sichuan, on the previous few or no narrative study explored some mountain citys.For example,Rong City,Duogong City,Linquan City,Denggao City,Anle City. This chapter focuses on the mountain location, strategic value, the situation in war,the role of the war, as well as the construction and the loss of time.On the basis of microscopic research, analysis of the time characteristics of anti-Mongolian mountain citys to build. Thus deepen the understanding of the fortress defense system.The third chapter of this paper analyzed and statistic Sichuan wars. By using the method of metrological historiography, comprehensive, objective, accurate summary of Song Mongolian wars of Sichuan.Through time and area studies of wars,analysis of the causes of war and how much it occurred and study on the frequency of occurrence of war. The accurate, profound understanding of Sichuan anti-Mongolian war has the vital significance and analysis of changes the strategic position of sichuan in the war. |
