Research On China’s Cultural Consciousness Problem

In the increasingly frequent cultural exchanges, multicultural development today,cultural consciousness is a strong driving force for Chinaprogress, it is not only theimportant source of national cohesion andcreativity, but also is an important factor inthe competition of comprehensive national power. Can say, whether to have a highdegree of cultural awareness, not only related to the development and prosperity ofculture itself, but also determines whether to realize the great rejuvenation of theChinese nation. Therefore, the study of current China’s "cultural consciousness" hasimportant realistic significance.The purpose of this paper is to analysis the basic theory of cultural consciousness,make a systematic analysis on the current status of China’s cultural consciousness, andputs forward the way to realizeculture consciousness. The paper is mainly dividedinto the following four parts.The first part: the basic theory of cultural consciousness. The first part ofthedefinition of cultural consciousness, points out that the cultural consciousness is livingin a certain range of culture people know one’s limitations on its culture, and theforming, the development course and trend have full understanding, of course, here isnot with any ’culturalreturn’ meaning ’, nor to return’, but also not in favor of’Westernization’or ’comprehensive he’. Second is the characteristics of the culturalconsciousness, and points out that the rational consciousness of cultural consciousnessis a kind of conscious acceptance, active pursuit andconsciously practice, but also apractical process of self critical, self-improvement, self transcendence and selfrenewing. Finally, according to the importance of development requirements of thetimes and the national conditions of our country at present to improve the culturalconsciousness, ideological basis it is the prosperity and development of culture andthe precondition; it is an important means of promoting the all-round development ofpeople; or the national culture security barrier.The second part: the current situation of China’s cultural consciousness.At ；present, our country is in the period of social transformation, various cultural,ideological clash, Eastern and Western culture blend continuously. In this case, peopleor rational treatment of various cultural conflict, showing awareness of culturalconsciousness; or becomepassive recipients of cultural diversity, not consciouslyexhibit loss and confusion in the cultural choice. Specifically, this part points out thecurrent our country culture self-consciousness embodiment, including thedevelopment of socialist advanced culture, the implementation of the culture of"going out" strategy, the inheritance and innovation of Chinese culture; on the otherhand, points out the lack of cultural consciousnessin China, including three aspects ofdislocation and lost, cultural values.The lack of Western cultural consciousness flaw,on their own culturalconsciousness.The third part: analysis of the reason of the lack of cultural consciousness inchina. One is the cultural values of the era of globalization is diversified, mainly dueto Western cultural values penetration, market economic system and the change ofvalues, the social core value system from the public three aspects; the two is thecurrent our country for its cultural heritage issues, mainly due to the school, thegovernment’s lack of responsibility.The fourth part: the path of current our country to achieve theculturalconsciousness. This part is the foothold of this paper, through the analysis ofthe current China’s lack of cultural consciousness and puts forward the correspondingstrategies. Specifically, by strengthening theunderstanding and cognition to their owncultural historicalconsciousness; through improving people’s cultural quality andmoralconcept and realize moral consciousness; through the systemconsciouslycreating scientific and standardized system of in the field of culture; throughconscious and Western cultural exchange and fusion to achieve perfect blend ofconsciousness; realize culture consciousness of the whole nation.
