The Dissertation On The Globalizing Basis For The Development And The Foemation Of The Cultural Soft Power

In the globalization background, the cultural problem is increasingly significant. With the inclination of the competitive methods, culture as an independent ‘soft power’, begins to play a role in the international stage. The conception ‘soft power’ is first put forward by Joseph nye, dean of the Kennedy government school, Harvard. After that, the conception was researched enthusiastically by scholars all over the world. As for the researching on the development of the cultural soft power, the paper intends to provide theoretical foundation under the context of globalization, which also helps to give a better understanding of further trends and the improvement of the national soft power.With the propose of the globalization and its progression, the issue was clarified firstly under the Clash of Civilization Theory, put forward by Samuel P. Huntington, who is the world famous political scientist. There are two points mentioned: for one thing, the method of colonization has changed to be the combination of colonization and cultural broadcast and instilling, rather than the single colonizing; for the other, it is necessary that the mix and the blending of various cultures would lead to conflicts, which probably further generate the competition and identity crisis of different cultures. The cultural soft power, as a sort of new culture format, is formed exactly under this context.So the cultural soft power is exactly originated from the competition and identity of different cultures. During the competition of the cultural entities, both the strong and weak ones formed due to the individual differences, which leads to the existence of the cultural divergence. The divergence make the cultural soft power represented in both high and low gestures, which become the general basis for measurement.With the progression of globalization, the world history has stepped into a new stage, the cultural globalization era. Facing the common human interests and in order to solving the common human issues, different cultural entities has changed from the initial conflicts to the cultural exchanging and blending. During this process, the cultural soft power has developed as well. Under the globalizing context, it is not only expressed as the form of competition of individual cultural entities, but the cultural appealing for the human to live together and cooperate to solving common human problems. Form this point, it provide a new aspect for the researching on the development of the cultural soft power.
