"Yong" Under The Horizon Of Five Big Disciple’s Image Changes

As early as Ancient Times,The idea of "yong" began to bud;After a long period of evolution, it has gradually matured; nevertheless, since the Spring and Autumn Period, Confucius "yong" is no longer a pure spiritual quality, but became an ideology which is closely associated with the others.Again,the intricacies of it bred the extreme difficulty in being made use of solving practical problems,so the use of the concept of "yong" even led to another extreme such as aggressiveness and self-seeking. Based on the above status quo, Confucius,on the one hand, actively inherited the essence of it from predecessors and the people of the times timely;on the other hand, Confucius has remolded the notion of it corresponding to the social reality and personal ideals.After that, the "yong" was established as the pursuit goal of the Confucian ideal personality, one of the Confucian "three moralities",and important disciplines which disciples of confucius improved their virtues,refined their achievement and behaved themselves. Therefore, when the ideas and behaviors of Confucius and his disciple is studied,"yong" is frequently considered as an important research object.However, profoundness,broadness and un-systematization of "yong" brought many difficulties and deficiencies to the scholars’ research in one way or the other,so the present paper, digging into Confucius "yong" related in the Confucian classics, had a detailed examination into the evolution of "yong", to explore the origin of it; Furthermore,via a meticulous study on the inheritance and development of "yong", the initial appearance of "yong" will be restored to lay a foundation of the succession and development of it which Confucian disciples make; Finally, Under the vision of "yong", image change of five big disciples of zi lu, xia, zi gong, YanHui, zengzi will be investigated, insufficiency of yong of the disciples will be filled and at the same time, a new breakthrough will be found for the image of confucian disciples.The whole text is divided into three parts,respectively. Namely,the introduction, the main body and the conclusion. The introduction part mainly summarizes the research status quo of nearly30years of the yong of confucian disciples, and introduces the research purpose, significance, content and method of this article.The first chapter is the evolution of the "yong" before the Confucius. At first,it does a careful examination of the book of songs,"the history of yong ", and then makes clear sense of the relationship between the mainstream ideology and culture. next,zuozhuan, the concept of guoyu in "yong" will be arranged, and finally,the definition,connotation and extension of meticulous investigation can sum up the characteristics and usage of "yong".The second chapter is "yong" of Confucius’inheritance and remoulade in time. This chapter involves three aspects:one is to explore the social root and form of the "shang"; Second, it gives an analysis of Confucius ethics system in the "courage" and "righteousness","the ritual","benevolence","knowledge", the relationship between them and then a summary of Confucius of yong in terms of characteristics and the position in Confucian ethical ideological system, and at last, the trend in Confucius ethical ideology.The third to the fifth chapter is the typological classification of "yong", and on the basis of it, image change of five big disciples and various cultural connotations "yong" will be explored. Specifically speaking, this chapter firstly fixes a position of the respective "yong", and then offers a detailed analysis of "yong" which remould the representative disciples of Confucius, and with the help of the deeds of the disciple it will be an exploration of the cultural connotation containing in each of the "yong".The last part is a summary of the evolution, ideological characteristics, the type of "yong" and image changes of the disciples.
