All the types of design need the flare of creativity and inspiration, the modern visualcreative design has presented its many-faceted structure with a unique characteristic. Fromthe past century, the western thought and culture has deeply influenced the Chineseheritage and customs of thousands of years. In wedding culture, for example, thetraditional concept of marriage has gradually changed from the dominant position to asubordinate status. With a research from one part to the overall situation, this paper tried toanalyze the current situation and developing trend of China’s wedding visual design. Byselecting the most representative Chinese character "Happiness" as a research object, theauthor made every effort to study the new potential creativity and methods of this character,as well as the direction of the future wedding visual design.The first chapter focused on the source of the word "Happiness", and a detailedanalysis of its function and symbolic significance; Chapter II studied the changing courseof "Happiness" in the wedding visual design by comparing the traditional and modernwedding ceremony, paved the way for the use of "Happiness" in the next detailed cases. ByTaking out some actual cases in the visual design of modern weddings in which exist anuneven state of the design of the character "Happiness"(the coexistence of elegant designand vulgar design), we explored the innovative design of this word, which could combinethe fine traditional culture and the new couple’s emotional appeal; In the third chapter, westarted from the consumer’ emotional appeal, according to the existing use status of"Happiness", discussed some innovative ideas of this word and also other traditionalauspicious patterns, and materialized these ideas in the graduation design.With the emancipation of young people’s thoughts, the diversification ofsocial-cultures, and consumer’s rising requirements for their wedding, the designers havegot their new goal-a high unity of function and form, which means the perfectsynchronization of people’s emotional appeal and the heritage of our national culture.
