Adaptation In The Perspective Of Amplification Theory

According to my own translation practice, this paper expounds the explanatory power of the structural objects of adaptability, contextual correlates of adaptability, and dynamic adaptation toward the amplification method used in translation. In this paper, I will analyze the use of the amplification method in translation from the angle of cultural adaptation, and state that we should not only consider the meaning of the word itself, but also to use it as a base to accurately understand the original content and then adapt the specific language structure, semantic and cultural context, use amplification properly. Thus, the information which reflects the original spirit can be translated and the features of the original text are shown. We can find out amplification method has an important impact on guidance in translation by means of investigating amplification under the view of adaptation theory. Adaptation theory can serve as a new approach to translation study, and open a broader space.
