Study On The Playing Of A Chance Meeting And Its Role In Pipa Teaching

A Chance Meeting is a quintet chamber works which use high-pitched, middle-pitched, low-pitched and the south pipa based on Nanyin pipa. This pipa chamber which is created, researched, spreaded by Professor Jing Yang,is composed of creation, teaching, cultivation,and stage practice, and is an innovation of traditional pipa teaching mode. Among these new form and commissioned musical works, A Chance Meeting combined traditional and modern musical elements ingeniously, which make me benefit a lot in the learning and playing of pipa. This thesis refer and analyze a large number of related monograph and research papers, and arrange the interview notes and recordings of Professor Jing Yang, conductor Shun Liu, composer Danhong Wang, South pip, inheritor Jiayang Zeng, intended to analyze this chamber works from its creation background, playing and teaching role.In the first section, A Chance Meeting created by the famous young composer Danhong Wang, is based on Nanyin pipa, using four north papa and one south pipa which is tailored for the same population pipa chamber. By playing this chamber â…  touched the oldest and best preserved Chinese chamber art, and then do a deep research on the Nanyin and Nanyin pipa and an exploration on the fusion and use for reference of south and north pipa.In the second section, analyze the creation purpose, method and experience of A Change Meeting from the point view of creators, and do a deep analysis of Nanyin pipa elements that is finger, spectrum, song, and its application in A Change Meeting. Furthermore, by the comparison of playing form, playing skill, instrument shape and instrument timbre between the South and North pipa, analyze its application in the playing of A Change Meeting.In the third section, The teaching role A Change Meeting is worth to research since its combination of Nanyin musical elements, South and North pipa and the same population modern chamber. The author research the necessity of learning from each other about the South and North, and its teaching role and significance, which try to throw away a brick in order to get a gem.
