The idiom is a form language has a long history, most of the world has a longhistory of language contains idioms. Idiom is an important part in the world’slanguages, its significance and academic value and practical application is veryimportant. Idiom is formed after a long period of practice and understanding of theideological crystallization, as the carrier of culture and depicts, it records changes inhuman history and philosophy. Chinese and Hindi belong to two different languages,different historical background of China and India, the geographical environment,ethnicity, religion and ways of thinking, also have their own characteristics.From a comparative perspective, the similarities and differences betweenChinese and Hindi idiom to contrast the Chinese and Hindi idiom sources, selectfourteen animals to identify associated Sino-Indian idiom to compare. And thenanalyze the characteristics of Chinese and Hindi idiom in cultural history andlanguage. Through the analysis of the Sino-Indian animal idiom meaning thesimilarities and differences, identify the formation of differences in terms of language,culture, religion, social and other cultural reasons. And discussed the effect of thecontrast between the teachings of the learning of foreign languages (Chinese andHindi idiom), not only to understand the characteristics of the idiom deeper Hinditeaching and foreign language teaching practical application, and can be found.
