Resistance And Collected:a Case Study Of The Wuhan Rock’n’Roll Band SMZB

This paper adopts the subculture study of culture study and case study of qualitative research as the main research methods, based on several times’fieldworks of the case study of SMZB band and take participant observation as the field work’s mainly research methods.The text mainly divides into four parts,the first part has summarized the history of western and Chinese rock music and then analyzed the historical reasons of rock music’s strong political、rebellious spirits and also the interactive relationship with the social culture environment; the second part is a theory outline of culture study based on the youth subculture,traces the theory origins of intense political and rebellious spirit of rock music;the third part studies the links between rock music and youth subculture、 technology、industrialization from the perspective of sociological studies;the fourth part is the case study,based on the above three parts’theoretical analysis,confirm the origin of SMZB punk band’s strong resistance as a typical representative of the youth subculture and make a theoretical explanation.The punk music’s strong rebellion which represent the youth subculture is not always evil and negative,they are an important part of the social culture,is a kind of unbending、sobering、prudent sound.In summary,this paper uses the theories and methods of cultural studies、sociology、 anthropology、musicology and other disciplines,explains why punk has so strong spirit of rebellion performance in politics、music、lyrics and other aspects and answered the reason why the youth subculture has so strong spirit of resistance in its generation and development process but ultimately being incorporated,take SMZB as an instance for a detailed analysis and explanation of the above problems.throughout the punk culture research of Birmingham school’s cultural studies,they just take punk as a subculture phenomenon to carry on the analysis, culture researchers are sometimes lack of the professional knowledge and skills related to music,rarely have the ability of professional discussion and analysis in music,just limitations punk in cultural research’s lightly mentioned,on the other hand,the music researchers was often short of the relevant theory and methods of cultural studies and just concern on the professional skills such as harmony、musical form,so I hope this article could comprehensive the theory and methods of music research and cultural studies to have some breakthrough in punk study...
