Research On The Domestic Archaic Animation From The Perspective Of Youth Subculture

The animation,which is a foreign culture originated from Japan's ACG culture,has been localized and transformed with traditional culture by domestic practitioners.Therefore,in recent years,more and more archaic animations have emerged in the domestic animation market,one kind of them are anime TV series represented by The Legend of Qin,and the other kind of them are subsequent anime movies represented by Monkey King:Hero is Back.Domestic animations express themselves in national way again after imitating Japan's and the United States' animations in a long-term.With the rise the archaic animation,the analysis of the use of traditional culture in domestic animations have been appeared more and more frequently in major media and academia.However,we should be aware that the traditional culture in the archaic animations is not a traditional culture in the true sense of the word,but traditional cultural fragments autonomously selected and transformed by the archaic animation fans.The archaic animation owns modernity at the same time.It is a mixed art of intersection and integration of traditional culture,ACG subculture and internet archaic subculture.It possess distinct youth subculture characteristics.Through the methods of text analysis and participative observation,this dissertation focuses on the core concepts of "style","resistance" and "incorporation" in the theory of youth subculture in the British Birmingham School and the related concepts in post-subculture theory,to conduct a more comprehensive and in-depth elaboration of the archaic animation subculture.The archaic animation as a subculture as a whole,its content includes three parts-animation works,animation industry chain,animation fans art.In the traditional theory of youth subculture,"resistance" was regarded as the core spirit.However,in today's era of consumerism with globalization and networking,youth subcultures show a general tendency of weaken resistance.Fans of the archaic animation act more like tribes that are concentrated on taste and consumption,which resist the stress and dissatisfaction in reality by building a social utopia emotionally.
