Research On Dan Yuan Collected Works By Xu Qianxue

Dan Yuan Collected Works is written by Xu Qianxue,the famous statesman and bibliophile, and is compiled in the Continuation Books of si-ku-quan-shu,the Series Books of si-ku-quan-shu with Preserving Catalogue and the Poetry Assembly in the Qing Dynasty. Now the offprint we can find out is the block-printed edition in the emperor Guangxu9th by chu-yue-yin Press. This paper mainly adopts the traditional philological research methods, for example, Editions and Catalogues help me collect the original document and expound the change of the version, by which analyze the academic thought of Xu Qianxue and the value of the collected works.The exordium is a discussion on the selected topic reason and research status, in addition explain the writer’s main research methods, basic line and the theme.In this paper, the text is divided into the following four parts. The first part of the thesis contains the family and the life of Xu Qianxue and researches his write on the basic of Jin Bu, Shi Bu, Ji Bu. Then introduce the collected works by different categories and explain the circulation of the version. The third part of the works is built on the scripture and the history to analyze the academic thoughts of the collected works, which includes the thought of emphasizing statecraft. He seek truth from facts when write history. The last part of the paper mainly elucidates the literature value, including Xu Qianxue himself and the political status at the beginning of the Qing Dynasty.The peroration is a conclusion that research on Dan Yuan Collected Works makes for understanding the society and living condition during the Qing Dynasty.
