| In this paper, it studies the Social Appellations of three Vernacular Detective Novels which are created in Later-Qing Dynasty: The Legal Matter Connected with Lord Shi, The Legal Matter Connected with Lord Yu, The Legal Matter Connected with Lord Lin. This paper tries to make a research by use of the theories of modern linguistics and methods.This article includes four chapters.The introduction: At present, the experts have some different ideas on the definition and related terms of appellations. This article puts forward its own views on the basis of the achievement which the predecessors have gained. Besides it clarifies the value of this paper and the related problems.The first chapter: It sketches the general picture of the social appellations in three vernacular Detective Novels in Later-Qing Dynasty by analyzing the communicational appellation, emotional appellation, characteristic appellation and seniority appellation. The article analyzes a few rare appellations which are even disappeared or difficult to understand.The second chapter: According the lexical system theory, this part studies the lexical motivation and the word meaning classifications.The third chapter: It analyzes the developments of the social appellation words in Chinese language from view of the history in three Vernacular and Detective Novels in Later-Qing Dynasty. What’s more, it shows the development of the related appellation words.The fourth chapter: According to the folk custom linguistics theory, it studies social appellation words in three Vernacular and Detective Novels in Later-Qing Dynasty, to show the custom features of the social appellation words.The articles studies the social appellation in a system with two purposes, on the one hand, it tries to comprehensively reveal the basic features of social appellation words in three Vernacular Detective Novels in Later-Qing Dynasty. On the other hand, it wants to show the diachronic evolution of the social appellation. |
