Ghost image in ancient Chinese painting can be traced back to the primitive society, and throughout the entire process of ancient painting, is a painting genre existed for a long period. In ancient societies, ancient people believed that "everything that has a spirit" concept, not only the Sun, moon, rain, Thunder, mountains, River gods, and even a variety of plants, animals, micro-organisms as a demigod. It is hoped that with the worship of the gods, so that their aspirations and fantasies can be realized smoothly, creating a wealth of image--Totem spirits. Totem painting there are a number of spirits, the oldest animal shapes, there are fish, birds, frogs, snakes, deer, and etc. Second is half man and half beast Totem, whose body is man first beast or beast first person, or people who have a portion of the animal.
