The Study Of Ghost Narration In Novels Since The New Period

Ghost novels have a long history of narrative tradition,but at present,the academic research on Ghost novels since the new period is not deep enough and systematic.So this paper combines the methods of text reading and theoretical interpretation,and interprets a large number of ghost novels in narratology,aesthetics and culture,in order to make up for the shortcomings in these aspects of research.First of all,this paper defines the concept of "ghost narration",distinguishes the concepts of "undead narration","phantom narration","Death narration" and ghost novels,etc.,and roughly combs the narrative context of ghosts in Western literature and traditional Chinese literature,and classifies the theme of Chinese traditional ghost narration.This compares the differences between Chinese and foreign ghost narratives,hoping that through these collation,we can have a historical background in the understanding of ghost narration in novels since the new period.Secondly,this paper roughly clarifies the historical change process of ghost narration in novels since the new period,and classifies and interprets its contents.Through text combing,it is found that the number of ghost novels is increasing,the length is getting longer and the narrative skills are becoming more and more mature from the new period to the new century.Writers ' writing themes either reflect on the evils of human nature and explore the possibility of human nature and spiritual redemption.It also writes about the decay of the moral ethics in the process of farmers ' urbanization,criticizes the modernization of the countryside,and explores the possibility of rural modernization.Or write all kinds of absurd world situation in contemporary society,the distorted human nature under the game of capital and power.Thirdly,this paper discusses the reasons for the rise of ghost narration in novels since the new period.This paper summarizes the reasons for the rise of ghost narration,from the aspects of the change of the external objective social reality,the writer's internal creative motivation,the law of literature's own development and so on.First,in the face of the pomp of literary development since the new period,the writers show anxious emotion for the exploration of stylistic innovation and depth of thought.Second,with the trend of magic realism in Latin America becoming more and more "localized" in China,writers have fused magic realism with Chinese traditional folk ghost culture to create works with new aesthetic quality.Third,in the face of today's increasingly complex real world,ghost narration is well suited to show,intervene and intervene in reality.Finally,this paper discusses the multiple values and significance of ghost novels,the value of which lies in: First,ghost narration is a kind of mixed angle of view which combines restriction angle of view and omniscience perspective,and has natural advantages in narration.Second,ghost narration is a kind of narration with grotesque as aesthetic trait,whose grotesque is mainly manifested in absurdity,antics and apathy,and this aesthetic trait shows the absurd reality of today's society.Third,ghost narration with the accusation of ghosts and strengthen the criticism of social darkness,with the kindness and tenacity of ghosts to summon the good human nature,with the ghost's powerless image and bystander position to imply the writer's relationship with social reality.Although ghost narration has multiple important values in narration,culture and aesthetics,the intolerance of ghost narration is also obvious: Ghost novels have the same narrative mode and homogenous ghost image and so on.
