On The Main Features Of Ghost Drama In Contemporary Chinese Drama-Comparing With Chinese Traditional Ghost Drama

Ghost play is a bright pearl in the history of Chinese drama.It has many different forms such as traditional opera and modern drama since ancient times.The academic circles have been very rich and fruitful in the study of ghost play,but there is very little research on ghost play of Chinese contemporary drama.If we want to take care of the overall development of Chinese ghost drama,we cannot ignore the contemporary drama ghost play,which is not only an extension of the traditional ghost play research,but also an unavoidable problem about ghost drama research in the future.This paper will focus on ghost play of Chinese contemporary drama,based on reviewing and comparing with the traditional ghost drama,exploring the features of contemporary drama ghost drama from three aspects,including the image of the ghost?ghost drama performances and ghost play function.And,it explores the whole development of ghost drama.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the thesis is divided into three chapters:The introduction part defines the concept of "ghost play" and"ghost",outlining the development history of ghost play from ancient times to the present,summarizing the academic research achievements of ghost drama and clarifying the research direction of this paper.The first chapter,from the ghost image as the starting point,combines with the relevant theoretical knowledge of drama semiotics.This paper compares the ghost drama of contemporary drama and the traditional ghost drama from the aspects of the independence of ghost image,the character of ghost image and the cultural connotation of ghost image,thus,revealing the symbolic features of ghost image in contemporary drama Ghost scene and researching the influence of symbolic features on ghost play.Secondly,through the comparison of the performance point,stage design,performance design,costume and make-up of modern drama Ghost and traditional Ghost play,taking ghost play as the starting point reveals the internalization of contemporary ghost play from two aspects of performance direction and performance program.The ghost scene of contemporary drama shows great concern to people's heart,while abandoning the established program of many traditional ghost performances.It does not give up the spirit of the comprehensive art of opera and embodies the new style of the program liberalization.Thirdly,taking the function of ghost play as the starting point,the author explores the change of the function of ghost play in three aspects from the weakening of moral education,the calm of expostulation criticism and the deconstruction of religious sanctity,which embodies the function and value of modern drama Ghost play and also highlights the aesthetic and appeal of creators and spectators in different times.The conclusion points out that there are also crises and shortcomings in the development of contemporary Chinese modern ghost drama and analyzes the related reasons.Finally,the author reaffirms the great potential of the Chinese ghost drama and calls on the literary and art circles to create more works that can embody their charm.
