The author applied theoretical semantics, the linguistic skills, especially cognitive theoretical linguistics, on three language aspects (grammar, semantics and pragmatics) to study the characteristics of4following groups:" not any"," not at all ";" absolutely not "," definitely not ";" not all "," are not";" unanimously not"," lawfully not ", and conducted the analysis of their similarities and differences. Through analysis and separation of the4groups above, the author named this kind in modern Chinese "Negative Universal-quantification Adverbial", found characterization of " Negative Universal-quantification Adverbial", and enriched cognitive theory " Universal quantification ".The dissertation consists of five chapters.Chapter1presents reasons for selecting the topics, meaning of the research and comparision to find out the research methodology, study scope, research content, making research subjects, and new points of the thesis.Chapter2:Theory of " Negative Universal-quantification Adverbial". Firstly, author conducted a review and summary of the study results of "Universal-quantification". Then, through a study of seniors and cognitive linguistics the explanation of " Universal-quantification "will be conducted, finally put forward the concept of " Universal Negative Adverbial quantification "Chapter3:Separation from groups representing "Universal Negative Adverbial quantification " non-summary group.
